Tet Celebration in Vietnam:

Tet is the biggest Holiday in Vietnam. It marks the beginning of a New Year for Vietnamese people all over the world and is celebrated much like Christmas. Families gather together to visit, eat special foods, and pay their respects to their ancestors. Debts are settled, offenses are forgiven, and everything is decorated. flowers and special trees with red envelopes filled with money for the children hanging from them. In preparation for Tet, homes are cleaned, food is prepared, and decorations of flowers are everywhere!

The photos provided in this album were contributed by our liaison and my friend in Da Nang, Thao Nguyen. I was fortunate to be in Vietnam last year during Tet and got to experience the festivities, friendship, and food firsthand.
